PM Source Map requirements
Required source coordinates and verification expectations for PM-created profile and source-update handoffs.
What changed
PM-created profile and source-update tasks now require a Source Map before builder source changes begin. The requirement is installed for the production PM profile softwarefactorypm and the meta PM profile metasoftwarefactorypm.
Required Source Map fields
A PM handoff should name the canonical monorepo, currently jack-michaud/software-factory; affected source paths such as role profile submodules, shared skills, docs, manifests, or publishing metadata; generated or installable role profile repositories and distributions that may receive the change; runtime install targets needed for verification only; expected work-named topic branches; publisher and monorepo/submodule follow-through; reviewer verification expectations; and the disposable test-profile validation decision with rationale.
Runtime profile boundary
Installed directories such as ~/.hermes/profiles/<profile> are runtime install and verification targets only. They are not canonical source and should not be treated as the source of truth for profile or documentation changes.
Alignment with Builder doctrine
The PM Source Map requirement and Builder source-update workflow are complementary: PM owns clear source coordinates and verification expectations, Builder implements source-controlled changes against those coordinates, Reviewer verifies evidence and source/runtime boundaries, Publisher performs approved repository and monorepo/submodule follow-through, and Installer verifies installed runtime targets after publication.

Verification summary
Installer verification covered the production and meta PM profile distributions, confirmed matching source hashes and required Source Map terms, and confirmed profile information loaded. A disposable PM validation profile was installed, verified, and removed after evidence was preserved. Shared or orchestrator profile rollout was not needed because this PM publication did not change shared or orchestrator source.
Public/private boundary
This note includes only public repository coordinates, commit identifiers, target profile names, changed public paths, and summarized verification outcomes. It omits credentials, raw runtime profile state, board databases, sessions, logs, memories, private workspace paths, tokens, private sprite URLs, and private operational metadata.
